SFPL's citywide summer reading and learning challenge, with reading tracking via Beanstack or a paper tracker, plus STEM, nature, arts and craft programming at branches across the city.
Good to know
- Presented in partnership with the Mayor's Office, National Park Service and SFUSD
- Participants log 20 hours of reading/library activities for a finishing prize
- Over 30,000 residents participated in the prior year's program
- Verified 2026-08-05: still within its June-August window per sfpl.org, but no exact end date is published and it's a year-named ("2026") annual program -- re-verify after August rather than assuming it carries into next summer unchanged
