Family-friendly volunteering with senior rescue dogs — help with socialization, foster support, and daily care. This is a standing volunteer role, not a one-off drop-in day.
Good to know
- Category picked as 'other' — animal shelter/rescue care work, not craft-making or outdoor cleanup.
- IMPORTANT: This is a real commitment, not a casual drop-in — Muttville requires volunteers to commit to at least 3 hours/week for a minimum of 6 months, plus completing training videos and a questionnaire before scheduling shifts. Flag this clearly to parents in the UI so it isn't confused with a single-day activity.
- By contrast, SF SPCA (sfspca.org) was checked and confirmed 18+ only with no family/kid volunteer track, so it was excluded entirely.
