Weekly drop-in program in the Randall Museum's Live Animal Exhibit where a museum curator introduces rescued animal ambassadors and discusses California wildlife. Visitors may get an up-close look at a tarantula, snake, or bird of prey; some hands-on touch opportunities occur depending on the animal (e.g., touching a sea star in the ocean-habitat station), but this is not a full petting zoo.
Good to know
- Randall Museum admission is free.
- Held inside the animal exhibit, or outdoors weather permitting, per the museum's official page.
- This is a hands-on animal encounter, not a traditional petting zoo — most animals (raccoons, snakes, birds of prey) are look-but-don't-touch; only limited touch stations (e.g., sea star) are noted.
