A free, nightly outdoor light-and-music projection on the exterior of the historic Victorian Conservatory of Flowers, developed with SF Recreation & Park and designed by Lumigeek (music by Tim Digulla). No tickets, no RSVP, open to all ages -- just show up on the lawns in front of the Conservatory ("Conservatory Valley") or along the car-free JFK Promenade after dark. The visuals/music change twice a year between a spring-summer and a fall-winter version.

Good to know

  • Confirmed distinct from the Conservatory's existing 'Free Day' (first-Tuesday free general admission, id 319) and the SF Botanical Garden's 'Lightscape' (id 3042, a separate ticketed Nov-Jan light show run by a third-party production company at the adjacent Botanical Garden, not the Conservatory building itself) -- not a duplicate of either.
  • Exact current-season start date for the fall/winter version (historically launched early-to-mid November) was not pinned to a specific day; the show is free and running year-round regardless, so this isn't a blocking gap.
