- One of only ~4 'junk'/adventure playgrounds in the U.S. (opened 1979), at Shorebird Park. Kids use real hammers, saws, nails, and paint to build forts, boats, and towers with staff supervision; giant cargo nets, zip line (ages 6+). Designed for ages 7+; younger children welcome within arm's reach of an adult.
